I’m Anita Valverde, based out of Las Vegas, Nevada, and I understand the struggle of trying to keep up in a world that puts way too much pressure on a woman of any age to look, dress, and act in a certain way.
I also know the feeling of freedom and the sense of relief that you get once you make the decision to stop trying to “fit the mold,” and instead begin to honor your own beauty while approaching aesthetics in a healthy and balanced way.
If you’re anything like me, looking for a way out of the superficiality and determined to break away from the pressures of societal ideals surrounding your appearance, at any age, you’re in the right place.
Allow me to guide you on your journey into embracing and embodying your own authentic beauty, today.
What is Personal Refinement Coaching?
Personal Refinement Coaching (PRC) is a form of life coaching that helps you build a healthier relationship to makeup, cosmetic procedures and plastic surgery.
I work with women who are struggling with a negative body image and resorting to the excessive (and often times unnecessary) use of these aesthetic tools.
The goal of PRC is to help you feel good about who you are and how you look, at any age, by bringing deeper awareness to the hidden beliefs behind your behaviors and to the internal and external influences that drive the way you see and present yourself to the world.
Personal Refinement Coaching will help you challenge your outdated ways of thinking surrounding your appearance so that you can start approaching your aesthetic habits from a place of strength, self-love, balance and self-care.
To help woman of all ages restore their confidence in who they are and how they look so they can start living a life based on what truly brings them joy.
The Motivation Behind Personal Refinement Coaching
I was the type of woman who was always looking for “more.” More makeup, more beauty, more aesthetic procedures. Always looking for ways to look more “perfect.”
When I finally woke up to the idea that there had to be “more to life” than just chasing perfection, which frankly doesn’t exist, I made the commitment to start working on my sense of worth from the inside out- building new ideas about where my worth truly lies, changing my habits and behaviors around my aesthetic routines and shifting my perspective around what it means to not only look beautiful but to be beautiful.
I have broken free from feeling like a prisoner in the skin I’m in and I’m experiencing a new and profound sense of freedom.
I want to share this feeling of freedom with you.
I then realized that there had to be many more women out there struggling the way I had, and I felt it was my calling to offer them a solution.
According to a 2024 study, 70% of young women feel unhappy with their appearance because of what they see on social media; many of them considering plastic surgery. See the full study.
PRC was birthed from my own experience and because of my desire to help you and women like Jane. You can read her story below.
-
Jane was a vibrant woman who had many hobbies and passions, and an overall zest for life. One of her passions was using the art of makeup as a form of self-expression and as a way to celebrate her own individual beauty. She thoroughly enjoyed the process of getting ready.
With the advancements made in social media technology, Jane would spend some of her free time scrolling through social media sites, like Instagram and TikTok, as an innocent form of entertainment. She used these sites as a way to get inspiration around her appearance, and not as a way to imitate certain celebrities and influencers.
As time went on and as video editing and photo/camera filter technology advanced even further, Jane started spending more and more time scrolling…doom scrolling, through these social media sites. What was once an innocent way to pass the time, now turned into an impulsive habit of comparing herself to the overly edited images and videos showing up on her feeds.
Jane started spending more time, money and energy everyday on her appearance, loosing sight of everything else that was once important to her. She couldn’t leave her house without a full face of makeup on and she sometimes found herself without much money left over to pay her bills.
In addition, Jane had resorted to the hasty decision to get plastic surgery procedures to emulate “what’s currently trending” without doing much research or being fully informed of the risks and side effects.
Jane is constantly chasing an image of perfection that is impossible to achieve.
One day, Jane looked in the mirror and she no longer recognized who she was. She was tired of waking up so early in the morning to get ready. She was tired of the hair and lash extensions that were damaging her real hair and lashes.
She was tired of chasing the unrealistic standards of beauty in our culture that is changing from one minute to the next. She was tired of spending her hard earned money on products that didn’t work. Can you relate to Jane?
Jane was determined to reclaim the zest for life she once had and was eager to rebuild a healthy relationship again to her appearance. Jane made the courageous decision to get the support she needed from Personal Refinement Coaching.
Once she realized what was really causing the behaviors surrounding her appearance and started taking the actions steps required for internal and external transformation, she started gaining back her sense of worth, confidence and self-esteem.
She has rebuilt a healthy relationship to makeup and her appearance again by using the aesthetic tools available as a way to enhance her beauty, and not as a way to take away from it.
In addition, she is not in a rush to book appointments for cosmetic procedures and plastic surgery anymore. Instead, she takes her time and does thorough research when choosing a doctor.
Also, with professional guidance, she chooses procedures that are right for her specific anatomy. She now knows how to approach her appearance in a healthy and balanced way and as a form of self-love and self-care.
Jane started becoming interested in her hobbies and passions again and has much more time, money and energy doing the things that truly bring her joy, such as traveling around the world, and putting money towards her other passion projects.
Personal Refinement Coaching has set Jane up for success in the years to come by showing her how to love the skin she’s in, at any age, so that she can embrace the aging process as a “Woman of Refinement” who ages gracefully and gratefully.
Jane now realizes that the ability to be Who She Really Is, is the Ultimate Form of Freedom.
To see women of all ages, races and backgrounds challenge society’s false ideas surrounding the unrealistic standards of beauty and the aging process, through cultivating their feminine power and personalized definition of beauty from the inside out.
What You Can Expect From Personal Refinement Coaching
Coaching sessions will be for one hour, once a week, for 12 weeks via Zoom.
You can contact me via email, phone call or text in between sessions, for additional support, throughout the time we work together.
I’ve structured a 12 week program complete with worksheets, visualization and meditation scripts, homework assignments, in-session assignments, journal prompts, and more.
A Coaching session format may look like this:
Open the session with setting an intention
Check in on your weekly progress, to celebrate any successes and for general discussion
Go over any homework assignments
Complete the scheduled in-session assignment together
Close with going over instructions on the next homework assignment and how to prepare for the next coaching session
Keep in mind that I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to the transformational journey.
Although I’ve created a structured program, I make space for the “spirit of spontaneity,” relying intuitively on the most effective approach to take to help you move forward.
What I expect from you as a PRC Client:
To have the willingness to take a new direction and practice new behaviors with your aesthetic approach

To approach your needs and concerns with compassion and empathy
To challenge you by taking you out of your “comfort zone” while offering you the support you need to fully blossom
To offer you suggestions, not advice, on other general life coaching areas- i.e., health, finance, relationships, etc.
To be dedicated to my own growth and personal development so that I can show up for you 100% as your coach
If you commit to your growth process and approach our time and the work we do together openly, honestly and courageously, miraculous things can start to happen.
You may feel less anxious about your appearance. You’ll start questioning your motives and make wiser decisions with the behaviors surrounding your aesthetic habits. You will have more peace and acceptance of yourself. You can have more time, money and energy to put towards other things that bring you joy. You may get more sleep. You may pick up new hobbies and passions or reawaken old ones that you once enjoyed. The list goes on and the possibilities are endless.
